How it works.

We’ll begin by finding out what known issues exist in your home, such as drafty or cold rooms, high heating and/or cooling costs, high and low moisture issues, or ice dams and icicles. We will do a walk through of the home looking at all of the components, windows, heating and/or cooling systems, insulation levels, and determining how much your home leaks by conducting a blower door test. Then we will use a thermal camera with the blower door running to detect hidden cold spots where air may be leaking in through the building shell.

After the assessment, we will provide you a report with all of the information collected, thermal camera images, explanation, and recommendations for improvements to be made, including prioritizing which improvements would likely have the greatest impact on your goals.

For more information on different reasons why your home may behave in certain ways, head over the Building Performance page.
